Dunas Portugal is a Portuguese company that formed part of the Norwegian Awilhelmsen Group. Present in Portugal since the 1990s, the group developed part of the Golden Triangle - namely the Dunas Douradas area, situated between Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago, along Praia do Garrão Poente. Facing the beach, the group built and managed the Dunas Douradas Beach Club, a five-star tourism resort.
Sílvia Biscaia began working for the group in 2008 on the licensing of the resort, and in 2014 became CEO of all the group's companies in Portugal. As general director of the resort, she raised it to levels of excellence that earned multiple international awards. Under her leadership, the group restructured its corporate portfolio and delivered two residential projects - the Dunas Douradas Beach Villas by Jutta Hoehn and the SeaBreeze Residences by Plan & Associados.
In 2023 and 2024, as the group exited Portugal, Sílvia began developing the Biscaia & Co Private Office - the natural continuation of over a decade of integrated work for foreign investors, now available not to one group exclusively, but to multiple international clients who seek that same level of coordinated, personal service.

The Founder
Lawyer for over thirty years. For fifteen of those, a partner at João Nabais e Associados, a law firm with offices throughout mainland Portugal and the islands, where Sílvia was responsible for the Algarve office, a practice heavily focused on tourism developments, property law, corporate matters, and international investments. From 2008, while continuing to practice, she began working for the Awilhelmsen Group, and in 2014 assumed the leadership of all its Portuguese operations as CEO.
Years of coordinating hospitality, construction, interior design and property management, with direct feedback from the kind of clients who live in the Golden Triangle, gave her a clear sense of what works in this market. She has a deep appreciation for beauty and art - painting is her passion, to which she dedicates her free time. Thirty years of moving between law and business is why she sees the full picture when others see only their part.
